1. What tools will I need to install the drain myself?

You will need to rent a concrete cutter and a cement mixer, hand mixing in a wheel barrel will work also.

2. How many bags of cement do I need?

A good measurement is one bag of 2/3 cu.ft. Ready Mix per foot.

3. How wide should I cut the asphalt?

Make two cuts 12" or wider for the width of your driveway.

4. What do I use for a guideline to make the cuts straight?

Place two strips of masking tape 12" apart for the full width of your driveway.

5. How deep do I need to dig the trench?

You want a square trench 7" deep from the top of the surface. The top of the drain will set 1/2" below grade. The bottom of the channel will set 4" off the bottom of the trench for concrete.

6.  Do the grates need to be in the channel when I pour the concrete?

Yes. Grates are shrink wrapped to give a protective layer while you pour the concrete.

7.  Do I have to tie the drain down to keep it from floating when I pour the concrete?

No. This is a major problem with other drain designs. The LTEC Drain does not float.

8.  What kind of warranty do you offer?

One year on manufactures defects.
